Pleasant Hearts Pet Food Pantry is a volunteer and donation based 501(c)(3) non profit organization working to keep pets with their families at home.
Pleasant Hearts Pet Food Pantry was founded December 2016 by a small group of individuals who volunteered at local animal shelters. During their time volunteering they saw that many pets were surrendered because the owners felt they could not care for them financially. These pet owners were devastated and you could tell the animals were well loved and care for. In an effort to decrease this as a top reason for pets in shelters, our pantry was born.
Now the pantry is an approved 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non profit organization running with a board and a group of like minded volunteers. Our team works hard to make sure these pets never see the shelter life. We are also working on partnering with other local animal welfare organizations to offer discounts to our clients on vaccines and spay and neuter procedures, along with education on these important items.
