Policy Reminder

Pleasant Hearts Pet Food Pantry is here to help pet parents who are going through financial hardship finding themselves in need of help to feed and care for their existing pets. It is our policy that we are not here to help pet owners who choose to acquire a new pet (especially puppies/kittens). We believe that while we wish everyone could have pets, it is a privilege and not a necessity. With that being said, we are here to help with pets that have been part of the family, not newly acquired pets. Please understand that if you get a new pet, we will assume that you no longer need our assistance since you’ve chosen take on the financial responsibilities that a new pet brings to your family. It is also our policy that ALL pets be spayed/neutered regardless of breed/pedigree/etc. We do require proof of spay/neuter or expect an appointment to be made within the first 60 days of signing up. If you need financial assistance with this, we can help.
